I explore the significant role of climate diplomacy in the Maldives, contrasting the U.S. approach to sustainable development, with China’s infrastructure-driven focus. This piece highlights the importance of combining a grassroots approach with modern science to foster resilience against climate change for an island nation that is severely threatened by rising sea levels.
